Hi Everyone,
Here’s the follow up from today’s class.
Here’s a great resource guide that was just published: It’s 61 pages….BUT full of good stuff. WA State Foreclosure Resource and Prevention Guide.
Here’s a blog post I wrote providing a link to many bank-owned REO lists.
We talked about the brand new WA State Foreclosure Fairness Act….and here’s a great blog post from Jess and Julie Lyda on this topic.
Here are some recent statistics from Seattle Bubble on Notice of Trustee Sales, Trustee Deeds, and Warranty Deeds for the Tri-County area. By the way, Tim Ellis offers these stats in report format here.
Here’s the Federal Reserve Press Release regarding loan servicers.
Here’s info on the Fannie Mae Homepath Renovation loan program and the special offer from fannie…..and the HUD Homestore.
Christine will send us the Case Shiller “recovery” map…
UPDATE
Here’s the link to the Case Shiller/Fiserve recovery map. And here’s the article that goes along with the map. The article and map are a year old.
Here’s a recent press release from the same group published in 2011. Notice they’re not touting the same stats and Seattle isn’t mentioned. Here’s the Fiserve/C-S press release page so you can bookmark this (if you like this firm’s research) and check back regularly for updates.
One of the great thinkers I admire is Calculated Risk who correctly called the top of the real estate bubble (one of only a handful of people with this insight.) Here’s a post he wrote just this month on how to think about a recovery. CR says different markets will bottom out at different times.
