Current Issues in Lending: How to Get Your Loan Closed!

In this course we will discuss the most current news regarding the banking sector and understand why tighter underwriting guidelines will be in our future, the success (or not) of the Obama Administration’s plans to shore up the housing market, news about any recent local bank failures and what to do if you have a loan in process with that bank, and the new consumer protection rules just announced by the Federal Reserve.  Lenders have a brand new Good Faith Estimate to whine about and we have new, updated disclosure rules under the Truth in Lending Act. Bring on the changes!

In addition, Realtors will learn how to get their loans CLOSED. What are the most common reasons that transactions fail to close?  What kind of financing is available for homebuyers purchasing homes with deferred maintenance?  What kind of financing is available for condos? Jumbos? From Condos to REOs and everything in between, we will answer your toughest questions on how to get your loan closed in today’s challenging market.
